Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has clearly put in the work in the gym this offseason, and social media has taken note of it.

On the Eagles’ team website, Jalen Hurts is listed at 6-foot-1 and 223 pounds. The 2022 MVP runner-up decided to bulk up even further this offseason, adding plenty more muscle in his arms.

The @PHLEaglesNation X/Twitter account shared a viral photo of a shredded Hurts:

And social media had plenty to say on the image of the new-look Jalen Hurts:

Hurts put together one of the greatest single-seasons in recent memory during the 2022 campaign. He threw for 3,701 yards, 22 touchdowns and only six interceptions to go along with 760 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.

The 2020 second-round pick finished second in MVP voting behind Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who beat Hurts’ Eagles in Super Bowl 57.

Though Jalen Hurts set new career bests last season in passing yards (3,858), passing touchdowns (23) and rushing touchdowns (15), he also tossed a career-high 15 interceptions.

Philadelphia jumped out to a 10-1 start that included statement wins over the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. However, they dropped five of their final six games to finish 11-6, handing the NFC East to the Dallas Cowboys on a silver platter.

The Eagles’ late-season collapse culminated with a humiliating 32-9 blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round.

Jalen Hurts & Eagles Are Poised To Bounce Back In 2024

The Eagles simply have too much talent and star power to unravel again the way they did season ago. Head coach Nick Sirianni and GM Howie Roseman wasted little time ensuring that it wouldn’t happen again.

Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio, two of the best at their respective positions, were hired to take over as the offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator, respectively. Roseman also signed superstar RB Saquon Barkley to bolster the rushing game.

On defense, Roseman brought in Bryce Huff and old friend CJ Gardner-Johnson before drafting two stud corners in Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. With all this talent, Philly should re-emerge as an NFC powerhouse in 2024.
