Although Stefon Diggs trade rumors had been around for the past couple of offseason, the NFL world was still thrown for a loop on Wednesday when his departure from the Buffalo Bills was announced.

As a member of the Houston Texans, Diggs will form a fantastic trio at wide receiver with Nico Collins and Tank Dell, which should help 2023 Offensive Rookie of the Year C.J. Stroud take an even bigger stride in his sophomore season.

Diggs took nearly half a day to put a message out, but he finally posted a farewell letter on his Instagram Wednesday night.

Bills fans call out Stefon Diggs

Diggs mentions how much “love and respect” he has for the city of Buffalo, as well as the fans. But Bills Mafia is ruthless, and they aren’t exactly sending him off with roses.

On the Instagram post, some of the comments were candid and brutal.

“In 4 years somehow C.J. Stroud will be the problem for this guy”
“Josh Allen will be the best QB you’ve ever had”
“4 years before he makes the same post about the Texans when he b*tches about them”
“All bro does is complain, you’re the problem”

Clearly, Diggs’ antics and transparent personality rubbed many the wrong way. Although him and Josh Allen never had a real feud, there were plenty of reports that the two had a strained relationship.

That’s likely what led to the trade rumors over the years. Diggs finally got his wish.
