Marvin Harrison Jr. in Ohio State gearSOUTH BEND, INDIANA – SEPTEMBER 23: Marvin Harrison Jr. #18 of the Ohio State Buckeyes looks on prior to the game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Notre Dame Stadium on September 23, 2023 in South Bend, Indiana.
For months, many experts have had Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. as being taken as the first wide receiver in the NFL Draft.

While Ohio State star Marvin Harrison Jr. has long been pegged as the best player at the position, The Athletic’s Dane Brugler is throwing a monkey wrench in those plans as he backed up a post from NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah, saying LSU’s Malik Nabers is being viewed by “several teams” as the No. 1 receiver in the draft.

NFL Network analyst and “Move the Sticks” podcast had this to say:

“I wouldn’t be shocked if [Malik] Nabers ended up being the 1st WR off the board. I love [Marvin Harrison Jr.] and [Rome] Odunze but Nabers brings a different element,” Jeremiah tweeted. “It’ll come down to preference of style but I guarantee some teams will have Nabers at the top of the list.”

The Athletic’s Dane Brugler added:

ESPN‘s Field Yates further stated that Nabers vs. Harrison “is a real debate for a lot of teams” and the LSU star being the first receiver off the board “should not be dismissed.”

Many mock drafts have Harrison being selected with the No. 4 pick by the Arizona Cardinals while Nabers would go at No. 7 to the Tennessee Titans.

The son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison was a unanimous All-American in the last two seasons and won the 2023 Fred Biletnikoff Award after recording 67 catches for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Could Be Taken With The No. 3 Overall Pick By The New England Patriots

It has long been widely assumed that Ohio State star Marvin Harrison Jr. will be the first wide receiver off the board and he could go in the top 3. Many have assumed that th the top three picks would be quarterbacks, but the former Ohio State star WR could be taken by the New England Patriots at pick number 3.

It’s clear that Harrison is going in the top 10 of the NFL Draft and things may become clearer once trades happen and teams begin to reposition themselves.
