Jaylen Brown Says Hawks Loss Highlights Celtics’ Challenge Entering Playoffs
Jaylen Brown finished with 24 points, four rebounds, and two steals in the Celtics’ loss to the Hawks on Monday night in Atlanta.
Jaylen Brown’s return to Atlanta didn’t go as planned on Monday night.
The Boston Celtics built a 30-point lead and looked like they were en route to steamrolling another opponent and extending their win streak to ten.
Instead, they lost focus, took their foot off the gas, and paid the price for it as the Hawks came storming back to stun the team atop the NBA standings.
After the loss, the Marietta, Georgia, native, who registered 24 points, four rebounds, and two steals in the defeat, said that this game spotlights what the Celtics must work on as they prepare for the playoffs.
“No matter if we up 30 or we down five, we’ve got to have the same approach and same mindset, and that’s gonna be a challenge for us going into the last home stretch of the season,” stated Brown. “We still gotta work on us.”
