Travis Kelce is reportedly locked in discussions that could see him become the host of the popular game show ‘Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?’.

The show is set to return to screens, with Prime Video keen on a reboot. And the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is believed to be deep in the running.

According to Brian Steinburg of Variety, the deal would represent Kelce’s latest step in the direction of entertainment following his appearances on ‘Saturday Night Live’, the reality series ‘Catching Kelce’, and the ‘New Heights’ podcast he hosts with his brother Jason.

Steinburg noted that there is a potential caveat as questions linger over how much Kelce could commit to the show given that he will still be playing football.

Travis Kelce Isn’t Looking To Retire Just Yet

Travis Kelce, now 34, showed signs of decline last season but stepped it up once the Chiefs got to the playoffs and was instrumental in their Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers in February.

He immediately declared he has every intention of sticking around for the Chiefs’ chase of an unprecedented three-peat in 2024. While Jason has since retired, calling curtains on his career with the Philadelphia Eagles after 13 years, Travis has no such designs for the future.

The former center is believed to be edging toward a television career and, per reports, has held talks with some major sports networks.

As for Travis, should his deal go through, he will become the latest athlete to wade into the game show host waters. But it would be a challenge having to commit to both the show and football given how hectic an NFL season can be, especially when you’re on a team almost guaranteed to make the playoffs every single season.
