Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift are both nominated for approximately a gazillion Grammys tonight, so the chances of them running into each other were always gonna be 10/10. And it looks like they had a sweet moment! By which we mean Taylor was spotted dancing and singing during Olivia’s performance of “Vampire,” fully hyping her up.

LOVE THIS FOR THEM!

Reminder that these two have been dealing with some feud rumors for a moment—mostly due to fans being convinced that things took a turn for the awk after Olivia had to give Taylor partial songwriting credits and royalties due to “Deja Vu” having similarities to “Cruel Summer.

Since then, there’s been speculation that several of Olivia’s songs are about Taylor (specifically “Vampire” and “The Grudge”). But just FYI, Olivia was asked about theories that “Vampire” is about Taylor Swift by The Guardian and said, “How do I answer this? I mean, I never want to say who any of my songs are about. I’ve never done that before in my career and probably won’t. I think it’s better to not pigeonhole a song to being about this one thing.”

Olivia was also asked directly if she was feuding with Taylor Swift by Rolling Stone and had THIS to say: “I don’t have beef with anyone. I’m very chill. I keep to myself. I have my four friends and my mom, and that’s really the only people I talk to, ever. There’s nothing to say. There’s so many Twitter conspiracy theories. I only look at alien-conspiracy theories.”

And when asked about the whole credit thing, she said, “I was a little caught off guard. At the time, it was very confusing, and I was green and bright-eyed and bushy tailed. Is that the phrase? It’s not something that I was super involved in. It was more team-on-team. So, I wouldn’t be the best person to ask.”

Oh, and she also said this when asked if she’d ever request credits/royalties from another artist:

“I don’t think I would ever personally do that. But who’s to say where I’ll be in 20, 30 years? All that I can do is write my songs and focus on what I can control.”

Anyway, glad to see things are clearly fine!
