On Monday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are in Pennsylvania, facing off against Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers.

During the game, four-time Champion LeBron James made NBA history by becoming the all-time leader in minutes played.

“LEBRON HAS NOW PLAYED THE MOST MINUTES IN NBA HISTORY 👑

He passes Kareem for the most career minutes, including regular season and playoffs (66,298).”

James is in his 21st season in the NBA, and at 38, he still remains among the ten best players.

He came into the evening with averages of 25.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 55.9% from the field and 38.5% from the three-point range.

The Lakers are 10-7 in their first 17 games, which has them as the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

Most recently, they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 121-116, and in 36 minutes of playing time, James had 22 points, six rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 8/23 from the field and 1/9 from the three-point range.

James is in his sixth season playing for the Lakers and has led them to the NBA playoffs three times (they won the 2020 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat).

Last season, he averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field (the Lakers lost to the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals).

Following the 76ers, the Lakers will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they visit Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons in Michigan.
