It appears that the future for Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is looking rather bleak.

Disney has been hard at work with figuring out which direction to take the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise.

The films were quite popular due to Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow, though due to his legal debacle with Amber Heard, his remaining time as the character was left unclear.

Now another update for the Pirates of the Caribbean film series implies a bleak future ahead for Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow.

Johnny Depp has been associated with Pirates of the Caribbean ever since the film franchise launched with The Curse of the Black Pearl in 2003.

His role as Jack Sparrow was considered one of the film’s biggest highlights, and he’s one of the few actors to return for every film to date: Dead Man’s Chest in 2006, At World’s End in 2007, On Stranger Tides in 2011, and Dead Men Tell No Tales in 2017.

Since 2017, however, there have been varying discussions about where the franchise would next be headed.

Most recently, reports of a reboot have surfaced, and those reports were verified when producer Jerry Bruckheimer shared the following to ComicBook.com:

This seems to indicate that one of the “certain actors” would be Johnny Depp. After all, his legal debacle with ex-wife Amber Heard seems to have put him in hot water with Disney.

Though many fans are supportive of Depp and would love to see him back as Jack Sparrow, it looks like Disney would much rather reboot the brand with a fresh new cast instead.

Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any further updates regarding the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise and the career of actor Johnny Depp as we have them.

Though it seems unlikely that Depp will ever clash path with the world of Pirates of the Caribbean again, we’ll just have to see what happens. After all, stranger things have certainly happened in Hollywood.

First Look At Jon Bernthal’s Punisher Return In ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Revealed

The first look at Jon Bernthal’s return as The Punisher in the upcoming Disney Plus series Daredevil: Born Again has been revealed.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is circling back to include its roster of Netflix shows as part of the main canon.

This will begin with Daredevil: Born Again, a successor to the hit series Daredevil, and it looks like fans can expect some other familiar faces to appear.

This has been seemingly confirmed in what appears to be the first look at Jon Bernthal’s Punisher in Daredevil: Born Again.

Jon Bernthal and his fan-favorite role as The Punisher were both rumored to be part of Daredevil: Born Again.

This would certainly make sense, especially when considering Bernthal’s Punisher first appeared in Daredevil before he went on to have his own show.

Now, as you can see below, Jon Bernthal appears to be on the set of Daredevil: Born Again to reprise his role as the character.

The photo of Jon Bernthal was taken by a fan in Brooklyn. It’s worth noting that this is where Daredevil: Born Again is currently shooting.

If that’s not proof enough, it’s worth noting that Jon Bernthal has fake blood on his face – presumably after shooting a fight scene for the new Daredevil show.
