Prince William’s ‘Insane’ Dancing Goes Viral
Prince William’s “insane” dance moves have featured in a new viral video alongside those of Princess Kate, as footage from the couple’s past royal tours has resurfaced on social media ahead of their 13th wedding anniversary.
William and Kate married on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London, England, after a 10-year courtship. Following their wedding, the couple took up roles as working royals, undertaking official visits and tours on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II. During these tours, fans were quick to share favorite light-hearted moments online, including clips of the couple displaying their dance credentials with hosts and locals.
Uploaded to TikTok by user @princess__jo on April 5, one of the latest videos examining this feature of royal tours has compared footage from William and Kate’s visit to Tuvalu in 2012 to mark the queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and clips from their most-recent tour, a visit to the Caribbean in 2022 to mark the monarch’s Platinum Jubilee.
Tuvalu is an island nation in the South Pacific and is what’s known as a Commonwealth realm, calling Queen Elizabeth II (and later King Charles III) monarch.
During their short visit in 2012, William and Kate took part in a Vaiku Falekaupule, a special ceremony during which the couple were presented with traditional clothing and joined in with the dancing and festivities. William was caught on camera offering a particular dance move he has repeated at other events, raising his arms and moving his hips in time with the music.
During the couple’s 2022 visit to Belize in the Caribbean, William and Kate took part in a Garifuna festival with members of the local community, and this also involved dances.

Kate was filmed happily dancing with organizers and participants, with William’s moves once again attracting attention.
The TikTok dance compilation has been viewed over 700,000 times on the social-media site so far, gaining in excess of 29,000 likes and more than 330 comments, many of which have praised the royals and commented on their skills.
“William’s Dance is Insane,” wrote one user.
“Woah prince William got moves,” posted another, with a further comment reading: “They both got good moves. amazing couple.”
William and Kate have taken on an increased public focus since the beginning of 2024, owing to the princess’ ongoing health issues.
In January, Kate stepped out of the public eye to undergo abdominal surgery and in March, she announced that, following the operation, her doctors had found cancer to be present. Kate was, she announced, undergoing “preventative chemotherapy” and is not expected to return to work while continuing her treatment and recovery.
During her illness, Prince William has also limited his public appearances to be with his wife and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
