Former X Factor judge Louis Walsh, 71, has made a few bombshell comments in the last two weeks, including calling Jedward ‘vile’ while admitting he made millions from them

Levi Roots believes Louis Walsh is fully aware of every controversial comment he makes in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The former X Factor judge, 71, has made a few bombshell comments in the last two weeks, including calling Jedward ‘vile’ while admitting he made millions from them. Not only did he call Ronan Keating a ‘pr***’, he also didn’t shy away from sharing his true feelings about his housemates.

During evictions, the audience shocked Louis when they booed after his name was called. Viewers at home also had enough of his attitude and demanded he be removed from the show. However, Levi – who got to know Louis during his stint on the show – believes the former music manager knows exactly what he’s doing.

Speaking on This Morning on Monday, the 65-year-old said Louis found a connection with him as they are both in the music business. He added: ” A lot of those points that people are angry about were conversations with myself and we were talking about music and his love for music and who he worked with, who he liked and who he completely dislikes. He made some bombs, but it was about being honest.

“Even in those moments when he was telling me that, he was being honest. I really don’t blame him for coming out in that way.” Presenter Ben Shephard then asked: “Do you think he knows? Do you think he’s aware that he’s letting these things go?”

Levi replied: “I think he did. He’s a very clever man, Louis. He’s not going to say something if he doesn’t know what he’s saying. He’s not senile or anything. He’s still very sharp in his mind. He just wanted to have a real conversation with me and I think that’s why some of those moments came out.”

Last week, viewers watched as Louis claimed to have made mega money during his time managing twins Jedward. The 71-year-old star spared no time slamming stars he worked with over the years and went in on the Irish double act – who he managed between 2009 and 2013 – in a conversation with Coronation Street star Colson Smith.

During the chat, he called them ‘vile’ and said they were simply a ‘novelty’ act but were ‘great for the show’. He added that he earned a whopping £5million for managing them. Jedward – real name John and Edward Grimes – were quick to slam their former manager in a post shared online.

“Louis Walsh is a cold-hearted b*****d who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died,” they posted to their 641,000 followers on X, formerly known as Twitter.
