Ellie Leach has broken her social media silence following her reported split from her Strictly Come Dancing co-star Bobby Brazier.

The former Coronation Street actress, 23, and the EastEnders actor, 20, decided to split as their busy lives are going in different directions, just weeks after their romance first emerged.

Sharing an update to Instagram on Saturday, Ellie stuck her tongue out for a fun selfie and wrote: ‘Hair’s kinda crazy today.’

In another post she congratulated her Coronation Street co-star Colson Smith after his stint in Celebrity Big Brother.

David Potts, 30, narrowly beat Nikita Kuzmin, 26, to the crown as he came in second, with Colson coming in third, Louis Walsh fourth and Fern Britton in fifth place.

On Friday, Bobby and Ellie ended their whirlwind relationship, according to a new report.

Bobby and Ellie first sparked dating rumours during Strictly Come Dancing in December and grew closer during the BBC show’s tour in January to February.

However as Bobby returns to his character Freddie Slater in the BBC soap and is reportedly exploring a potential career in Hollywood, Ellie is currently touring UK theatres in the Cluedo stage production.

A TV insider told The Sun: ‘Love blossomed between them when they were in close quarters on the tour, but once that ended they both spent much less time together.

‘That gave them space to think about the future, which is likely to take them in very different directions over the coming year or two.

‘So they decided the best thing to do was quit while they were ahead and while they were still pals, because they both really cherish the friendship they have.’

The news comes after it was revealed that Ellie had ‘moved to London’ as her relationship with Bobby blossomed.

The Strictly champion is living in the capital where Bobby lives with his dad after sparking up a romance.

Ellie’s cousin, actress Brooke Vincent shared she is planning to catch up with her in London during an appearance on This Morning.

She said: ‘I’m actually seeing her tonight and she’s moved to London.’

Brooke added: ‘I could never do Strictly since she won, she did amazing. You get bored of saying how proud you are.’

Bobby, who was partnered with Dianne Buswell, came runner up on Strictly to Ellie, who lifted the Glitterball trophy with partner Vito Coppola.

The pair seemed happier than ever as they cosied up and posed for pictures together on their first joint red carpet.

Ellie also shared a sweet loved-up selfie with Bobby after he watched her make her stage debut earlier this month in Cluedo 2 at Richmond Theatre.
