Draymond Green received a technical foul after a tussle with Desmond Bane during the Golden State Warriors win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday (March 20).
Steve Kerr‘s team found a new gear after Green’s involvement in the incident and took control of the game, again illustrating how Green can motivate his team.
Green has served two separate suspensions this season. As such, he’s likely trying to avoid getting into too much trouble on the court, especially when it comes to altercations with other players or verbal spats with game officials.
During a recent episode of “The Draymond Green” podcast, the veteran forward discussed the incident at length and also spoke about Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins.
An indefinite ban is the penalty that the NBA gave to Draymond Green, after he committed an unsportsmanlike foul on Jusuf Nurkic in the Phoenix Suns match against the Golden State Warriors .
It is very rare for a player to receive such a heavy penalty, but in Green’s case, it does not surprise anyone, because indiscipline has become a habit of this player.
Many times in the past, the 33-year-old striker has acted impulsively, directly affecting the team he plays for.
In the 2016 finals series, Green’s retaliatory swing at LeBron James caused him to be suspended for 1 match, and this was the main reason why the Golden State Warriors lost 3-4 to the Cleveland Cavaliers after leading 3- first.
Or like last year, the altercation between Green and Jordan Poole during practice caused internal turmoil for the Warriors, and Poole himself was no longer himself throughout the entire season.
After the recent incident with Nurkic, Green himself had to admit that he was mentally unstable.
This player should feel lucky that the Warriors did not issue any internal penalties, and declared that he was willing to wait to welcome his star back.
Green’s podcast has continued to grow in popularity this season due to his openness when discussing issues he encounters on the court. You can watch the full episode by clicking on the embedded link above.
