Draya Michele, known for appearing on the show Basketball Wives, has announced she is expecting a baby. The father is NBA star Jalen Green.
The 39-year-old reality television personality shared the news on Instagram this Friday but made no mention of the 22-year-old Houston Rockets player.
Engaging her 9.6 million followers, she shared a carousel of images from a pregnancy photo shoot.
In the caption, she wrote: ‘Happy #InternationalWomensDay! As women, we navigate through so much, often leading us to question, “What is my purpose?” For me, the magic lies in motherhood and the awe-inspiring ability to bring life into this world over the span of two decades. It’s my superpower.’
The note continued with a direct message to her daughter.
‘We are overjoyed to share our love for you, little girl. I am excited to speak words to the daughter I never thought I’d have,’ Draya wrote.
She added, ‘We are anxious about your arrival, but take your time — this world can be tough. But know you are being brought into a space of love, security, and adornment.’
And finally, she added the hashtags, ‘#28weeks #7months #comingMay2024 #girlmom.’
Green signed a four-year, $40.8 million contract with the Rockets in 2021.
He and the model and Mint Swim founder have been romantically linked since last year.
Draya, full name Andraya Michele Howard, recently sparked pregnancy rumors when she was seen leaving a Rockets game in a pair of overalls.
Michele is already a mother to two sons — Kniko, 21, whose father is unknown to the public, and Jru, 7, whose father is former NFL star Orlando Scandrick.
She was previously engaged to Scandrick before they called off their wedding in 2019.
Draya first rose to fame in 2011 when she dated singer Chris Brown — they split after nine months but have remained friends.
She starred on Basketball Wives LA from 2011 to 2015.
In 2011 she made her scripted acting debut in TV One’s Will To Love alongside Keshia Knight-Pulliam and Marques Houston.
