After Cody Rhodes opted to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL, The Rock turned his character around by joining The Bloodline and bringing back his heel persona. Recently, during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host asked The Rock about portraying a heel instead of a face.

In response, he said that the time was right for change. Moreover, he revealed that this new character allows him to express many of the ideas that fans want to witness. But now it seems like he’ll undergo another character change. And this time, it is another old gimmick that could make a comeback, as hinted by the ‘Brahma Bull’.

Taking to his Instagram story, the Rock announced that he would be ‘Coming home’ to Memphis, for the next edition of SmackDown. But it was the phrase written at the bottom of the story that’s worth giving special attention to. As it read, “Flex Kavana comes home”. For those unaware, Dwayne Johnson wrestled as ‘Flex Kavana’ in the USWA (United States Wrestling Association) in Memphis, back in 1996. However, the gimmick did not last long. In the same year he made his debut as Rocky Maivia for the WWE (then WWF).

So it looks like the ‘Brahma Bull’ might bring back his old gimmick in the next edition of SmackDown. This emerges as great news for WWE who have recorded a boost in TRP and online views thanks to the segments featuring the Rock. In fact, the segment featuring the Bloodline and Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins became a sensation on YouTube.
