Six men will battle it out in an attempt to secure a shot at Gunther and the intercontinental title
As the card for WrestleMania 40 continues to come together, one of the biggest remaining questions is who will face intercontinental champion Gunther at the biggest show of the year. During Raw on Monday night, that question will be answered when six men will face off in a gauntlet match.
The participants in the gauntlet match are Sami Zayn, Chad Gable, Ricochet, JD McDonagh, Shinsuke Nakamura and Bronson Reed. The winner goes on to WrestleMania with a chance to end Gunther’s record-breaking run as the longest-reigning intercontinental champion in history. Gunther has held the championship for more than 640 days since winning the title from Ricochet.
