Controversial podcasters Claudia and Jackie Oshry of “The Toast” podcast dragged Billie Eilish to filth after she seemed to criticize artists like Taylor Swift for her “wasteful” move to release more Vinyl variants, which eventually contributes to climate change.
Eilish has since apologized for the confusion her statement caused, saying that she wasn’t singling out anyone.

Claudia, Jackie Oshry Call Billie Eilish ‘Dreadful’
In an episode of their podcast, “The Toast,” Claudia and Jackie Oshry didn’t hold back their words for the Academy Award-winning songwriter.
“She might as well have said ‘that blonde girl whose names rhymes with Faylor,'” Claudia Oshry said. “I don’t think we could speculate this to be about anyone else.”
She even speculated that Eilish was just “jealous” of Swift’s chart success with the release of her albums.
“A whole part of this conversation that Billie’s not talking about is how Taylor has completely resurrected a dead industry. You can’t be the best at everything: you can’t be the most sustainable and be resurrecting industries and be a titan of industry,” she added.
Taylor Swift has since been credited for reviving Vinyl sales because of the subsequent variant releases of her albums, which featured differently colored Vinyl copies, each corresponding to a special offering depending on which version was purchased.
As if their criticisms weren’t enough, the two also dragged Eilish for supporting Gaza against Israel’s inhumane siege on the Gaza strip.
“This girl is so dreadful and she’s always been dreadful. But now she’s sticking her nose in some things where it doesn’t belong,” Jackie Oshry said about Billie Eilish wearing a red pin at the 2024 Oscars, signifying her support for Palestine. “Dreadful, miserable girl.”
Billie Eilish Apologized Over Vinyl Statement
In a statement posted on Instagram Stories, Billie Eilish responds to the criticisms that have hurled her way since her recent statement.
“okay so it would be so awesome if people would stop putting words into my mouth and actually read what i said in that billboard article,” the Grammy-winning singer said. “i wasn’t singling anyone out, these are industry-wide systemic issues. & when it comes to variants, so many artists release them – including ME! which i clearly state in the article.”
Eilish’s statement came from a Billboard interview in which she criticized artists who released different vinyl and album packaging to saturate the market with more collectibles. This would thereby add more choices for fans to purchase, pushing their numbers even further.
