American media reported that a young female singer and famous American TikToker – Cat Janice – passed away on February 28 from a rare cancer. Before she died, she was able to take meaningful action for her son.

Catherine Janice Ipsan, better known by her stage name Cat Janice, is an American singer and songwriter. Janice wrote and sang “Dance You Outta My Head”, which went viral.

Cat Janice passed away after cancer treatment. The female singer just had the song Dance You Outta My Head famous on the charts. The information was confirmed by her family through a post on her Instagram account.

It is known that before her death, the singer-songwriter promptly transferred all music copyrights to her 7-year-old son Loren. Accordingly, all proceeds from these songs will belong to Loren. On social networking forums, fans simultaneously expressed their infinite sadness at the passing of Cat Janice.

The young female artist discovered unusual signs in her neck in November 2021. At first, she was subjective and did not go to the hospital for a checkup. In March 2022, when the situation became serious, Cat went to see a doctor and was diagnosed with sarcoma – a type of cancer that starts in the tissues.

In July 2022, the female singer was announced to be cured after undergoing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. However, earlier this year, Cat Janice shared with fans that her cancer had returned. On January 10, she couldn’t breathe and had to go to the emergency room.

Cat Janice (born 1993) officially debuted in the world music industry when she just turned 21 years old. In early 2024, she became widely known after her song Dance You Outta My Head became famous on the TikTok platform.

The song was inspired by her young son. Two weeks after its release, Dance You Outta My Head ranked at number 37 on Billboard’s (US) chart for the “hottest” dance and electronic music songs.

On January 15, sharing on her personal page, Cat wrote: “I changed the ownership of my songs to my son because I want to be able to leave something for him. I don’t have too much. many assets”.

Also in the last post on her TikTok channel, the 31-year-old star said she had always lived strong and went through the difficult last weeks of her life.

“I couldn’t walk in the last weeks of my life and always felt trapped. But it helped me remember that, when I get to heaven, I will be dancing with God and flying above the clouds. I’m really excited,” she added.
