Britney Spears‘ loved ones are said to fear for her future if she doesn’t enter another conservatorship, admitting it’s been impossible to reason with the star about her latest erratic behaviour. 

The singer, 42, has been accused of not taking her mental health medication, while simultaneously drinking and taking other drugs – sparking fears of a relapse given her history with substance abuse.

She is said to be allowing her felon boyfriend Paul Soliz to ‘run her household and her life’, with those closest to her claiming she can’t be reasoned with because her ‘mood swings often turn into rages that end in physical violence’.

Paul has reportedly been charged with multiple misdemeanours and at least one felony, according to court documents, such as possession of a firearm in December 2022 when he was employed by Britney. Also in September 2023, Paul was seen at the San Fernando Superior Court after allegedly violating his probation.

TMZ reports that multiple sources have reached out concerned that her ‘mental health is in a tailspin’ and they fear the only way forward is to place the mother-of-two under another conservatorship.

The site reports that she is ‘in danger of hurting herself or others’, adding: ‘There are times we’re told it’s impossible to communicate with her because she can’t engage in rational conversation. ‘

Insiders have also been keen to clear up allegations made in a documentary in which a former security guard for the singer claimed Britney’s room was bugged.

Five sources told TMZ, there was never bedroom surveillance.

They stated that during the conservatorship and amid concerns Britney was being smuggled drugs, a judge signed off on an order authorizing the monitoring of Britney’s communication devices to determine who was supplying her drugs.

Those close to the star claimed that they wanted to clear up the speculation because they believe had that not been claimed, the public would not have championed the #FreeBritney movement and a judge would not have signed off on removing her from the conservatorship.

Britney was initially entered into her conservatorship on February 1, 2008, with Judge Reva Goetz placing her father Jamie and attorney Andrew M. Wallet, as conservators.

It was decided that she needed an intervention after she refused to relinquish custody of her sons to ex Kevin Federline and she was committed to the psych ward of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold.

She had been exhibiting worrying behaviour in the months leading up to her psychiatric hold, shaving her head in October 17, moments before attacking a paparazzo’s car with an umbrella.

The conservatorship was terminated in November 2021 following a very public court case fuelled by the vocal #FreeBritney brigade.

Earlier this month, in alarming scenes which will draw comparisons with 2007, when she famously shaved her head, Britney sparked ‘mental health crisis’ concerns after being pictured barefoot and topless outside the Chateau Marmont in the early hours.

With abrasions on her knees and a pillow clutched to her chest, the singer appeared agitated as she was escorted to emergency service vehicles while flanked by her security and felon ‘ex’ Paul.

Last week, the hitmaker seemed to be doing better after injuring her ankle during the incident, which sources later told DailyMail.com happened while she was doing cartwheels outside of her hotel room.

Insiders revealed to DailyMail.com that Britney had a massive panic attack and ‘flipped out’ at the Chateau Marmont over fears that her own mother called the paramedics on her, just minutes after she insisted she was mentally fine but had badly injured her ankle.

The singer sparked fears that she was spiraling into a mental breakdown when she was pictured wearing nothing but a blanket and underwear while clutching a pillow as she was escorted out of the celebrity hotspot by paramedics in the early hours.

She later shared pictures of her swollen foot on Instagram, insisting she was not in the midst of an episode, as she accused her own mother Lynne Spears, 60, of a ‘set up.’

Insiders laid bare the truth about the shocking incident, claiming Lynne was behind the 911 call and had asked her daughter if she was ‘mentally fine’ just minutes before.

‘Britney was crying in pain and she called Lynne in Louisiana to tell her what had happened,’ a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘At the time, Lynne was the only one who knew that she had hurt herself.

‘Lynne asked Britney if she was OK mentally and Britney told her mom that she was fine and it was just her ankle. Lynne called 911 and told them that Britney was having a breakdown and had injured herself. She knew that Britney was in a traumatized state.’

The estranged duo had recently reconnected following the end of Britney’s conservatorship battle with her father Jamie Spears, 71, and the finalization of her divorce from ex-husband Sam Asghari, 30.

Photographs taken the night of the incident showed the disheveled-looking pop star, barefoot and draped in a blanket – reminiscent of her notorious 2008 breakdown that landed her in an involuntary 5150 hold and ultimately led to her 13-year conservatorship.

Explaining her attire, the insider insisted it had nothing to do with her mental state.

‘When the ambulance arrived at the Chateau, they went directly to Britney’s room and told her that they needed to make sure that she was OK after someone had called the paramedics,’ they said.

‘When Britney looked out, she saw the ambulance and the gurney and she flipped out. She had a severe panic attack because seeing a gurney for her is traumatizing, for obvious reasons.

‘Britney then grabbed a blanket and a pillow, leaving her belongings at the hotel. She did not have shoes on because her ankle was injured. She was not going to get in an ambulance and was not about to get checked out by them for an injured ankle.’

According to the source, the Toxic singer – who was at the hotel with her felon boyfriend Paul Richard Soliz – was determined to flee.

The source continued: ‘She said, ‘I am getting the f***k out of here.’ She walked past the ambulance and got into a ride that was waiting for her out front.

‘She did not return to the Chateau.’

It’s a scene that nobody wanted to see. Particularly not the #FreeBritney campaigners who fought for years to see her regain her autonomy of her health and personal liberties while under a conservatorship controlled by her father, Jamie.

The Grammy winner had compared being under conservatorship to being a ‘sex trafficking victim’, detailing that she was made to work against her will, forced into taking birth control and had no control over seeing her sons or friends.

Having heard Britney’s emotive testimony it was hard not to sympathise, and on November 12, 2021, the singer celebrated ‘the best day ever’ as a judge called an end to her controversial arrangement, with fans weeping openly outside the Los Angeles courtroom as the ruling was announced.

Britney had claimed her conservatorship was ‘abusive’, yet her father insisted was to protect her wellbeing, insisting his daughter ‘would be dead’ without his intervention.

While it would be misguided to speculate on whether his claims had any basis, in the two years that Britney has been ‘freed’ from his control, she has exhibited a pattern of troubling and erratic behaviour.

Concerns for the mother-of-two mounted to as such that a Hollywood psychiatrist claimed that the best course of action would be placing Britney under another conservatorship, insisting she needs ‘structure and supervision,’ for her own protection.

While Dr. Charles Sophy’s advice would have seen him cancelled by the #FreeBritney brigade in 2021, after recent troubling scenes now even her staunch fans are fearing if terminating the conservatorship was in fact the best course of action for Britney.
