We all know Miley Cyrus as one of Hollywood’s strongest and most inspiring female role models.
She has taught us that we don’t need a man to feel complete, that we should always stay true to ourselves, and never be afraid to try new things.
But there’s one thing she never sees herself doing — having children. Let’s find out Miley’s compelling reason for staying child-free.
She grew up in a big family.
Miley has spent most of her life surrounded by little brothers and sisters.
Her parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Leticia “Tish” Finley, had three children together: daughters Miley and Noah and son Braison, born in 1992, 2000, and 1994 respectively.
In addition to her two siblings, the famous singer also has two half-brothers and one half-sister: Billy Ray’s son from other relationship, Christopher, and Tish’s daughter and son, Brandi and Trace, whom Billy Ray also adopted.
If you’re still following this extended family, let us add the four step-siblings Miley just got after her mom officially married Dominic Purcell. And that about covers Cyrus’ diverse clan.
Kids are not a part of her journey.
Unlike her clearly children-motivated mom, Miley has long decided for herself that her baby-making factory is closed for business indefinitely.
Cyrus explained her reasoning with a very simple message: she doesn’t want to put any more strain on our planet.
She said: “Until I feel like my kid would live on an earth with fish in the water, I’m not bringing in another person to deal with that.”
Miley feels very content with her decision, but she admits that she feels the stigma surrounding it.
She refuses to feel guilty about her choices and makes it clear to anyone, who has anything judgmental to say about it: “If you don’t want children, people feel sorry for you, like you’re cold and heartless and not capable of love.”
ve more personal reasons for remaining child-free. For example, Seth Rogen, 41, has shared on multiple occasions that he and his wife have absolutely no desire to have kids because no child can make them happier than they already are.
