Blake Lively expertly trolls husband Ryan Reynolds on long-awaited date night to baseball game

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds make trolling each other look like a fine art, and their recent date night was no exception.

The couple enjoyed a rare night out after a year in lockdown as they headed to watch the New York Yankees take on the Detroit Tigers on Friday, and they looked like they had an incredible time.

Following the game, Blake shared a series of photos of her and Ryan, telling her followers: ‘Mom&Dad Girl Summer. Thanks @clintfrazierr for being my personal stylist.

‘This hat is a vast improvement from the [poo emoji] I showed up in. After 14 years in NY, I think tonight made me an official Yankee…’

While the photos of their night were cute on their own, Blake didn’t let it get too mushy as she then shared a photo of her and Ryan which she captioned: ‘I love meeting fans’.

She and Ryan are known for their burns on each other on social media, so it’s only a matter of time until he comes back with his own zinger, too.

Ryan also documented the date night, adding: ‘Blake took me to my first home run derby at @yankeesstadium tonight. They won 10 to nothing.

‘I’m not saying I’m a good luck charm. Just saying @clintfrazierr wants me to play left field for the remainder of my life. (The Red Thunder was an absolute hero tonight).’

Clint also gave the couple signed hats, and in Ryan’s he wrote: ‘To the ‘Green Lantern’ from ‘Red Thunder,’ referencing Ryan’s role in the DC Comics film.

The pair were clearly excited to have a rare night out of the house given the coronavirus pandemic has meant lockdown for much of the year.

Blake also documented her New York themed manicure by matching the emblems on her nails to things around the city.

She wrote: ‘I left the house. I documented it. Phew. That was fun. Maybe I’ll do it again next year.

‘I’m fine. Being locked down for a year hasn’t affected me at all. I’m just hanging out with my best friend Pinky in NYC. This is normal stuff.’
