A Tesla Cybertruck has been outfitted for police use and it looks absolutely phenomenal. With its commanding presence and brutalist lines, the Cybertruck could well be the perfect futuristic police vehicle.

Teslatuner Unplugged Performance, the company behind the Pikes Peak-winning race car Dark Helmet, shared a video on social media of a Cybertruck outfitted with police gear. As seen in the video, Unplugged Performance’s UP.Fit police kit, which includes emergency lights on the roof and side and a custom wrap, matches the Cybertruck very well.

There are plenty of advantages a Cybertruck could offer law enforcement. It’s a fairly large vehicle, so it could carry a considerable amount of tools, and its spacious cabin has enough room for all the custom equipment that police cruisers require. Modifying the second-row seats to fit criminals probably won’t be a complicated matter either.

So far, reactions from the Tesla community to the Cybertruck Police Patrol have been fairly positive. Users on social media and forums like the   Cybertruck Owners Club   have pointed out that the police patrol version of the all-electric truck would be perfect for a Hollywood movie. Others pointed out that with the addition of a bumper, the Cybertruck Police Patrol would look even more intimidating. After all, perpetrators probably wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of a Cybertruck Police Patrol’s pit stop maneuver.

Unplugged Performance’s UP.Fit line also includes a kit for the Model Y, which the company estimates would cost around $90,000 for the full package. The Tesla tuner noted that its Model Y police vehicle could save police departments $27,012 over five years, at least compared to a hybrid Ford Police Interceptor Utility Vehicle. But to the extent that a Model Y police vehicle is sensible and capable, there’s very little doubt that the Tesla Cybertruck has a lot more of a presence when it’s converted into a law enforcement unit.
