The Cowboys suffered a humiliating loss against the Packers on Sunday in the wildcard game.
On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys, led by their franchise quarterback Dak Prescott, suffered a brutal and embarrassing loss against the Green Bay Packers in their wild card game. Following the loss, the Cowboys’ veteran signal-caller took the blame for the loss.
During the post-game press conference, the Cowboys quarterback blamed himself by using 3 words to describe his poor 2-interception outing, which eventually led to them losing against the Jordan Love-led Packers.
I sucked tonight.
Prescott told the reporters
The Cowboys quarterback finished the night with more than 400 passing yards and 3 touchdowns while completing 68.3% of his pass attempts.
However, before getting his rhythm, Prescott threw 2 interceptions in the first half, which led to Dallas facing a huge deficit early and eventually losing the decisive game. Prescott acknowledged his performance in the second half doesn’t matter since it didn’t result in a victory for his team.
Dak Prescott brutally honest in his evaluation of his play vs. Packers:
“I sucked tonight. And that’s it. … It’s about winning, and winning in the playoffs.” #Cowboys pic.twitter.com/ztlDQAmaNJ

Got it going a little bit later, but none of that mattered at that point. Fought. That’s all I really know how to do, but, yeah, I mean it’s about winning.
It's about winning in the playoffs and then getting to the last game and winning that as well. And yeah, tough.
Prescott told the reports
Just like Prescott, the Cowboys’ number 1 wide receiver CeeDee Lamb also struggled early in the game but ended the game with 100-plus receiving yards.
Unlike the Cowboys offense, which tidied up later in the game, Dallas’ defensive unit never found their groove and allowed Jordan Love’s Packers to drop a 40-burger on their team. In short, both the Cowboys’ offense and the defense failed to step up in the big game despite playing good football all year long.
Shannon Sharpe also blames Dak Prescott for the Cowboys’ loss
Following the Cowboys’ humiliating loss against the Cowboys, Pro Bowl QB Dak Prescott took the blame for his team’s poor performance. Furthermore, the renowned ESPN personality Shannon Sharpe also blamed Prescott for disappearing when his team needed him the most.

The First Take host posted harsh remarks on social media calling out Prescott and the Cowboys’ defense for failing to step up. He also labeled Sunday’s loss as the most humiliating loss in the franchise’s history.
Empty calorie Dak. Every1 saw when the gm matter. He pulled a Cooperfield and DISAPPEARED. The defense didn’t disappear. They never showed up 2 start with. This is the most pathetic, disappointing, humiliating loss in Cowboys history. EMBARRASSING

Now that the Cowboys season is officially over, they will begin their off-season much earlier than they would’ve anticipated. General manager Jerry Jones has a lot of things to figure out in the next few weeks, including his head coach Mike McCarthy’s future in Dallas.
