Cardi B might have ties to the south but when speaking to her fans, the Bronx rapper revealed why she is not a fan of living in Atlanta. While searching for spaces in New York, the 31-year-old explained her reasoning for making moves on properties in The Big Apple.

“I’m going to be coming to have meetings with my label like twice a week,” she detailed on her Instagram Live. “And on top of that, I’m trying to get an office out here.” The Grammy winner also elaborated on her experiences.

“I only go to Atlanta like three or four times a year,” she explained. “And probably I go for a week, maybe less. I tried to move to Atlanta in 2018 and I lived there for like six months. And I hated it. I don’t have not one friend in Atlanta, and I don’t have not even one family member in Atlanta. So I just don’t like Atlanta.”

Fans rumored her move to New York was the result of her pending divorce with rapper Offset. Last month, the “Bodak Yellow” rhymer shut down speculation that their home in the Peach State was facing foreclosure.

“LMAOOO You bum bi**hes wish,” the chart-topper wrote on social media. “Me and Offset bought that house in 2019 for 5 million now it’s worth 7.” She continued, “Check the Atlanta market. And no, we not selling it… and if I ever sold it I would just sell my part to Offset since he loves Atlanta. Throwing salt on my home? Hating bad.”

Cardi B recently revealed she’s pregnant with her third child. She and Offset have a daughter Kulture, 6, and a son Wave, 2. As her family grows, the Bardi Gang awaits a sophomore album from their queen, which might be released before the year ends.
