Britney Spears revealed that she loves and misses her family as she posted a snap of her loved ones on Wednesday.
The Gimme More hitmaker, 42, has famously had a strained relationship with her family following her 13-year conservatorship, and even recently accused her mother Lynne, 69, of trying to ‘set up’ her recent drama at the Chateau Marmont.
But she appeared to have had a change of heart, as she took to her Instagram to post a family snap that included her mom sitting at a kids table with Britney’s nieces Maddie, 15, and Ivey, six — the daughters of her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, 33.
‘We all have issues with our family but dear God you can’t help how much you love them,’ the singer wrote.
‘I’m posting this pic because my family is absolutely beautiful and I miss them,’ she added.
The star continued: ‘I’m not in this picture but I sure as hell feel like I am. On a side note… If you know me, I’ve always ended up at this kids table at every function I’ve ever been to!!!’
‘The most elite expensive dinners and I always find myself just like this sitting in the back with the kids !!!’
‘So not to sound righteous but in a world of chaos and confusion the trickery of the devil is to mislead you and humiliate you … and make you think you’re less than !!! I wanted to share this pic because although I’m not in it … I sure as hell felt as though I was !!!’
In the post she also shared the front cover of ‘Reclaim Your Heart: Personal Insights on Breaking Free from Life’s Shackles’ a self-help book by Yasmin Mogahed.
The book focuses on the idea of freeing your heart from negative emotions and finding a more fulfilling way of living.
The family photo Britney posed was the same one shared by her sister Jamie Lynn on Sunday, when she wished mom Lynne a happy Mother’s Day but did not include Britney, amid recent concerns for her mental health.
Another woman featured in the snap seemed to be the mother to Jamie Lynn’s husband of five years Jamie Watson.
Jamie Lynn included several snaps and video featuring Lynne and Jamie Lynn herself but not one frame included the pop megastar who recently called her younger sister a profanity.
The actress simply captioned the post to her 2.2million followers: ‘happy mother’s day [white heart emoji]’.
This comes after Britney — who called her sister a ‘b****’ in a since-deleted video — claimed their mother set her up regarding the pop star’s concerning Chateau Marmont incident.
Britney sparked concerns after shocking photos showed the barefoot star wrapped in a blanket and being escorted out of the Chateau Marmont to emergency services.
In scenes reminiscent of her 2008 meltdown, she was seen clad in just her underwear. She was also seen clutching a pillow to her chest and appeared visibly distressed as she left the hotel after reportedly causing a scene.
She later spoke up about the incident as she posted two Instagram videos of her ‘twisted’ and swollen ankle.
In the clips, she claimed that she was ‘set up’ by her mother — who was seem hopping on the plane the following day.
She was pictured arriving at LAX presumably to go see Britney — who was partying with her felon ex Paul Richard Soliz at the time of the Chateau Marmont incident.
She was picked up by her son, Britney’s brother Bryan, and her granddaughter.
Lynne and her eldest daughter had previously reconciled back in December 2023 to celebrate Britney’s birthday together.
Following their fallout from her conservatorship, it was the first time the pair appeared to be on good terms in recent years.
Spears’ estrangement from her family, particularly her father Jamie Spears, 71, stems from the 13-year conservatorship that ended in November 2021.
Jamie held significant control over Britney’s finances and personal life, with the singer claiming the conservatorship was abusive.
