Nikki Glaser says there was a random comedian who was responsible for initiating Kim Kardashian being booed at Tom Brady’s roast earlier this month.
The 39-year-old comic — who claims it is ‘impossible’ Brady didn’t know how the Netflix special would affect his kids — was a guest on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast this week.
Glaser claimed the boos were not related to Kardashian’s ongoing Taylor Swift rivalry.
Rather, Kim was booed because some ‘wild guy who’s a comedian’ with a ‘reputation for just, like, starting s**t’ pushed the crowd to do it.
She explained, ‘Apparently, he started the boo as just, like, a joke. He just had too many drinks or something, and he’s not affiliated with Swifties or anything [and] just felt like saying a boo into the air, and apparently everyone was so riled up.’
Nikki, who also took the stage at the roast, added, ‘It just kinda caught wind, but it wasn’t Swiftie-meditated. I do have that on good information that it was not based on that. Because I was like, this doesn’t feel like a huge Swiftie crowd, but it didn’t feel like that was the vibe in the room.’
The media personality made a guess that the hecklers who booed Kardashian, 43, were ‘sports fans wanting to have some sort of release to boo.’
She shared, ‘The guy started it started it as a joke, and it caught on too much, but I was so glad to learn it was not Swiftie-meditated.’
And Nikki went a step further, defending Kim and her family, who often catch flack for their ‘lack of talent.’
‘I don’t want to hear that anymore that they’re not talented. They clearly are! They’ve achieved something consistently for 20 years now. They’re talented! It just doesn’t look like the talent you define,’ she mused.
It comes after last week Glaser revealed that the SKIMS founder DM’d her following their joint appearance at the Brady event.
While appearing on Jake Johnson and Gareth Reynolds’ We’re Here To Help podcast, the comedienne divulged that ‘Kim Kardashian DMed’ her ‘on the way in’ to their studio.
‘She said, “You killed it on the roast,” pretty much. I wrote back, “Kim, oh my god. I was trying to make eye contact with you every chance I could to mouth to you, “You f***ing killed, girl.”‘
Glaser said it didn’t surprise her that Kardashian was so funny after she nailed her ‘elite’ Saturday Night Live monologue while hosting in 2021.
The podcaster added that she thanked Kardashian for being ‘so nice’ and writing her.
After Johnson and Reynolds persuaded Glaser to check for a reply, she joked it would be ‘so anticlimactic if she didn’t’ and it just said ‘seen.’
To Glaser’s surprise however, Kardashian had written back.
The mother-of-four’s message read: ‘Aww thanks! And YOU killed it. I don’t know how you do this — it’s abuse lol.’
