Paris Hilton shared rare throwback photos of herself posing with longtime friend, Britney Spears, as she claimed the duo ‘created the selfie’ in a new post on Sunday.

The TV personality, 42 – who recently joined other celebrities at the Las Vegas Grand Prix – uploaded three close-up snaps of the stylish pair that had been taken back in 2006.

In the caption, the mother-of-one penned to her 25.5 million followers, ’17 years ago, Britney and I created the selfie! Tag me in your most epic selfies to celebrate the most iconic invention.’

In the first snap, the socialite could be seen sporting a dark gray tank top while the Baby One More Time hitmaker, 41, donned a white, satin blouse.

The two stars flashed cheerful smiles while adding black headbands with bunny ears on top of their heads for the lighthearted picture.

In the second image, Paris and Britney removed the fashionable headbands and stood closely together for another selfie.

Lastly, the pair paused for another snap as they puckered their lips towards the camera – which was held by Hilton.

The stars have had an unbreakable friendship for nearly two decades, and most recently, Spears opened up about their close bond in her newly-released memoir, The Woman In Me – which dropped last month in October.

The Gimme More songstress had written that the businesswoman was ‘kindest to me when I really needed kindness.’

She further added, ‘So much of America dismissed her as a party girl, but I found her elegant – the way she posed on the red carpet and always had an arched eyebrow when anyone was mean about her.’

‘She saw that I had babies and that I was suffering from the breakup, and I think she felt sorry for me. She came over to my house, and she helped me out so much. She was just so sweet to me.’

While talking to People shortly before the book hit shelves, Paris revealed that she was ‘proud’ of the Princess of Pop ‘for telling her story.’

‘I know how hard it can be doing a memoir because you have to really dive in and think about so many moments in your life that I’m sure you don’t even want to think about.’

Paris – who has also written a memoir of her own called Paris: The Memoir – expressed that, ‘it is truly such a healing experience.’

During an interview with E! News last year, The Simple Life star gushed about the singer and stated, ‘She’s one of the kindest people in the world and is such an angel.’

Hilton continued, ‘She is not like any of the people in this town. She means a lot to me.’

The blonde beauty also was in attendance at Spears’ wedding last year in 2022 when she tied the knot with Sam Asghari. However, the actor filed for divorce from the songstress earlier this year in August.

Last month for Halloween, Paris paid a special tribute to Britney by dressing up as the pop star in the iconic blue ensemble from her Toxic music video.

Hilton has been filtering through a busy schedule, and whisked herself away to Las Vegas over the weekend to attend the Formula 1 Grand Prix.

She put on a fashionable display on Saturday wearing an all-black ensemble that comprised of a fitted, black top with a small cutout towards the upper portion.

The media personality additionally wore a pair of black, leather pants and layered the edgy look with a leather jacket.
