The Queens, New York rapper wasted no time and shared a video CNN released of Diddy assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura on Instagram on Friday, May 17

50 Cent wasted no time commenting on the newly released video that showed Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs as he assaulted his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at a hotel. The Queens rapper shared the clip on Instagram just minutes after the news outlet broke the news on Friday, May 17.

“Now I’m sure puffy didn’t do it, he is innocent this proves nothing! This is what his lawyers are gonna say, God help us all,” the rapper wrote, adding the eyes emoji.

50 has been one of Diddy’s most outspoken critics since Cassie came forward with abuse allegations against the rapper in Nov. 2023. However, Diddy and Cassie settled the lawsuit out of court the following day. According to court documents obtained by The Mirror, she alleged that “he raped her and perpetually abused her for years.”

In the newly released footage from 2016, Diddy is shown physically assaulting Cassie at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. An altercation similar to the one on the video matches one that was described in the lawsuit. In the video, the music producer is seen running down the hallway wearing just a towel around his waist, while Cassie puts her shoes on while waiting for the elevator. He then grabs her, pushes her to the ground, and continues hitting and assaulting her.

“The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs,” Cassie’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, told The Mirror. “Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”

Last week, his son Christian Combs released a diss song titled “Pick a Side,” defending his father. In the diss track, the rapper, who also goes by King Combs, mentions 50 Cent. “I dare one of you niggas scream out ‘no diddy’ / Police raid the crib like they think we selling crack, but we out here selling tracks / Multimillion dollar plaques,” he raps, with Diddy’s signature ad-libs throughout. “When all they had was 50 Cent, who put the city on the map, stop lying / Pops been hated on by many men and n—a that’s fine / They gon try to stop these MMs / And they gon die trying / Pull up to the Southside / We locked in, we got ties / Don’t give a fuck about no blogs ’cause we really outside.”
