Alexa Bliss is one of the most successful WWE women’s wrestlers of the past decade, with amazing character work and solid in-ring performances!
Alexa Bliss has been one of the most successful women’s wrestlers since the start of the women’s revolution in WWE, becoming a five-time WWE Women’s World Champion, a three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, and a Money in the Bank winner. Bliss’ current legacy is defined by her great character work and commitment to her gimmicks, though she hasn’t had too many memorable matches.
When looking at Bliss’ matches in WWE, she hasn’t really had any classics, which makes it intriguing to go and look through which matches TheSportster’s match rating system ranks as her best. These ratings will be compared to those from Cagematch.Net and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The ratings for this match are pretty harsh, but upon a rewatch it was pretty decent. Considering the tables stipulation can act as an awkward weight at times, Bliss and Lynch did well to create some inventive spots and teases of the match ending. Bliss’ heel work was strong, as she was continuing to prove herself as a star in the making. Her title win was a massive moment for her career, and the crowd responded well to it despite being fairly quiet for much of the bout.

Alexa Bliss and Asuka walked into Crown Jewel 2022 as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, taking on the Damage CTRL duo of Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai. Despite some lackluster performances in the build-up, Bliss stepped up and put some of her best work in for quite some time, rising to the level of the other three great performers. There wasn’t much to shout about from a storytelling perspective, especially with yet another quick title change, but it was a good PPV tag team match regardless.

Alexa Bliss defended the RAW Women’s Championship at No Mercy against four of RAW’s best, who all offered something different to the match. At just 9 minutes, this was a sprint that had a pretty good pace to it. Jax was the dominant force here, with the other wrestlers needing to team up to take her out, which provided a solid groundwork for a structure and story. It wasn’t anything special and it did feel rushed at times, but those involved did a solid job.

Cody Rhodes’ Definitive 18 Best Matches, Reviewed
Cody Rhodes is one of the most popular wrestlers today with plenty of excellent matches on his resume. Which one tops the list as his best?
This was a historic match as it was the first ever women’s Elimination Chamber match in WWE. There would be better ones to come, but this was a solid first bout for the women of WWE in this structure. Bliss’ heel work shone through well, taking advantage of the depleting friendship between Sasha Banks and Bayley. It did run pretty slow at times, Mickie James was booked like an afterthought, and overall it was predictable, but it was a damn sight better than the men’s match later on in the night.

The first ever SmackDown Women’s Champion was crowned at Backlash 2016, and the match contested amongst the biggest stars on the blue brand’s roster at the time. The stakes added a lot of excitement to this match, and the crowd were invested in seeing who would make history. The match allowed everyone to shine, the more greener competitors like Carmella & Alexa Bliss were protected, and Becky Lynch’s victory provided for a wonderful moment after a hot and hectic multi-woman bout.

This was the very first WarGames match on the WWE main roster, and whilst it wasn’t a show-stealer, it was still a strong match featuring plenty of talented names. The big spots in this match were great, with several memorable moments from the top of the cage and lots of weapons involved. The distinct lack of any real strong story did let this down somewhat, but the crowd clearly enjoyed the bout anyway due to the chaos and spots.

The tag teams of Alexa Bliss & Asuka and Damage CTRL developed quite a strong chemistry during their 2022 feud, even if the storytelling wasn’t great. The best example of their chemistry together came on this episode of Monday Night RAW, where they had a very good back and forth match with strong transitions, sequences, and more.
Even with a few sloppy moments, this did not lose its excitement, and the unexpected title change gave the audience something to remember.

The UK crowd were super hot for the opener of Clash At The Castle 2022, with much of the focus being on their singing towards Bayley, which prompted some good character work from the heel. Damage CTRL as a whole looked strong here, with good teamwork being used to gain an advantage. The babyface trio of Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss and Asuka played their roles well, ensuring a very solid opener that was enhanced by the audience.

Kofi Kingston’s Definitive 10 Best WWE Matches, Ranked
Kofi Kingston is one of the longest tenured members of WWE’s roster, and has amassed a long list of amazing matches!
Alexa Bliss scored a huge victory in 2018 as she became just the second ever winner of the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Her victory came in a very strong and fun bout featuring herself, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Ember Moon, Lana, Naomi, Natalya and Sasha Banks. With the names involved, it is of little surprise that the match featured great action, big spots (thanks to Naomi & Moon) and a hot crowd. In truth, the choice of Bliss as the winner did feel like WWE were just rehashing the same wrestlers in the top title scene, which did take away from the finish.

One of Alexa Bliss’ best matches in WWE came on a forgotten episode of SmackDown back in 2019 as Bliss faced Carmella and Charlotte Flair in a number one contenders match to decide the next challenger for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. The crowd got more and more invested as the action went on, with some strong multi-woman sequences, near-falls, and big moves. With stakes attached to the match, their desire to win and challenge for gold was all this match needed from a storytelling perspective, and the urgency was felt.
