This year, we’ve witnessed all manner of risqué new trends, from naked skirts to celebrities going trouser-less in the wild. But when it comes to making a bold statement, sometimes the old tricks are the best. Emma Watson, during a rare appearance on the red carpet this week, made a splash by embracing the underwear-as-outerwear look in a peekaboo bra.

At the premiere of We Dare to Dream in London over the weekend, the actor chose a sleek ensemble put the focus on her bra. Her look consisted of a black crepe Alexander McQueen suit, complete with a single-breasted jacket adorned with crystals on one shoulder and a pair of matching tailored trousers with a subtle flare. Watson complemented her outfit with a black criss-cross bralette that peeked through from beneath her suit jacket. To top it all off, she wore square-toe sandals encrusted with jewels and classic diamond studs.
