Ronda Rousey appears to have hinted at retirement from both WWE and UFC.
The decorated combat sport and professional wrestling champion has built an impressive legacy across the board, but hasn’t been seen on screen since losing to former tag team partner Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam in August.
The mum-of-one – who has daughter La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō with her husband and fellow fighter Travis Browne – took to Instagram to share a series of family black and white snaps from a recent photoshoot.
In the caption, she teased that she could be ready to hang up her boots for good.
‘”Sorry, I couldn’t hear you through my retirement.” Bernie Lumen ❤️🔥,’ she wrote.
Besides the obvious hint, Ronda’s also showed great taste as it’s a quote from Disney Pixar’s rom-com Elemental, and it appears she’s taking inspiration from Bernie himself.

Back in August, Rousey – whose last UFC fight came in 2016 while she joined WWE two years later – made what appears to be her final in-ring appearance for WWE when she lost to real life friend Baszler at SummerSlam.
Sharing a series of photos from the high profile match on Instagram, the Baddest Woman On The Planet insisted after facing the Queen of Spades in the ring, she has nothing left to accomplish.
She wrote: ‘@qosbaszler you were the reason I got into this business… Now I got no reason to stay.’
After a number of sporadic appearances, she made her WWE official debut at the end of the 2018 Royal Rumble, and went onto hold the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships, while also holding tag team gold with Baszler.
At WrestleMania 35, she joined Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in becoming the first ever women to main event the annual showcase back in April 2019, and then disappeared from the company until her return in January 2022.
