The God of Thunder’s wrath makes its way to Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been shaking up the world of open-world games a bit with its massive landscapes and storytelling like Elden Ring. Some have even been comparing the game to Elden Ring, but there are more differences than similarities between the two.
Fans of Thor Will Particularly Love Dragon’s Dogma 2
The combat system lets you experiment a lot.
User Trashcatmaid on X recently shared a clip of the game where the sword was pretty much mimicking Thor’s Mjölnir. The slam, the bursts of lightning, and the pure epicness of it all are blatantly visible here. If you’re a developer reading this and working on a game about Norse mythos, do make notes.
If the NPCs in their party had a say about it, they’d probably compare the player’s epicness to that found in comic books and tales of gods. It’s tough to comprehend how many such clips are in the making, given how players can often be very creative with open-world RPGs.
The game never really limits your ability to mix and match different ways of dealing with attacks. The combat system is nuanced in a way that gives you the RPG experience you’d expect from such a big title. If you’re someone who’s familiar with games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Elden Ring, you can imagine how magic, swords, spells, and everything in between can work so well in harmony.
It’s a World That Begs to Be Explored, Just Like Elden Ring
The game has a unique way of letting its players go about doing different quests. Even though many players are still facing problems with frame rates and CPU, the better part of the gameplay experience allows them to uncover the various aspects of the game.
Given the vastness of the game, it’s a treat for everyone who’s been a fan of FromSoftware’s open-world adventure. It’s the right time to get into Capcom’s take on this genre, as players are undoubtedly patient and waiting for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree to arrive.
Until that happens, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is here with these immaculate quest and combat systems, with every inch of a world that shrouds itself in a sense of mystery.
