Will Smith gets speeding ticket for going 63mph in a 45mph zone on dangerous stretch of Malibu highway where 58 people have died in past 14 years

Will Smith reportedly felt the need for speed on Friday night as he drove down the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California.

The Hitch star, 55, was clocked going 63mph in a 45mph speed limit zone on a stretch of the scenic highway that is very dangerous, according to TMZ.

Over the past 14 years, 58 people have died on that stretch of PCH so even Will’s star power couldn’t get Smith – who stars in the upcoming Bad Boys 4 – out of the speeding ticket.

The California Highway Patrol has no patience for speed demons on that stretch of the oceanside highway.

In October 2023, four Pepperdine University students were killed when a BMW lost control while going 104mph and slammed into the young women.

On Tuesday, the official trailer for Bad Boys 4 dropped. Will Smith teams up with Martin Lawrence once again to fight for justice in Miami, Florida in the latest installment of the popular film franchise.

The duo have been shooting in the state for months and recently wrapped production of the film.

The Men in Black actor and Lawrence, 58, were both seen shooting off guns nonstop in the action-packed clip.

The film is called  Bad Boys 4: Ride Or Die and it will debut in theaters on June 7.

The movie also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Nuñez, Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Jacob Scipio, Melanie Liburd, Tasha Smith and Tiffany Haddish.

In the film, the actors team up to clear their boss’ name, played by Joe Pantoliano, 73, after he’s been revealed to be a longtime drug smuggler.

Bad Boys 4 marks Smith’s return to a big commercial film for the first time since his now infamous Oscars slap of Chris Rock, 59, at the 2022 Academy Awards.

His last film was 2022’s slave drama Emancipation for Antoine Fuqua and Apple Films.

The first Bad Boys film hit theaters in 1995 and was director Michael Bay’s first feature films. Bay commented on the Oscar slap back in 2022, saying: ‘I don’t know the rules. I don’t know, but it was a little unlike Will,’ he started,

‘He’s a great guy, I’ve never seen him mad,’ Bay said of Smith, adding he didn’t see it happen, ‘I just saw the clip. I’m not one to judge. He’s just not an angry guy.’

Bad Boys II debuted in 2003 and the third film was released in 2020 and was one of the last movies to get a wide theatrical release before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down theaters.
