Beyoncé has officially released the cover photo for her new album titled Cowboy Carter on her personal Instagram page. This album is expected to be released by the female singer on March 29.
Beyoncé: ‘It’s amazing to see how music can unite so many people around the world’
In the revealed cover photo, Beyoncé wowed fans when appearing authoritatively on the back of a white horse in the image of a cowboy. Along with the photo, Beyoncé also attached a long post, sharing about the album Cowboy Carter.
The Halo singer shared: “Today marks the 10-day countdown until the release of act ii. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has supported TEXAS HOLD ‘EM and 16 CARRIAGES. I thank feel honored to be the first black woman to have a number one single on the Hot Country Songs chart. It wouldn’t have happened without the enthusiastic support from each of you. I hope Hopefully in years to come, mentioning an artist’s race, as it relates to the release of musical genres, will no longer be relevant.”
Beyoncé said the idea for the highly anticipated sequel to Renaissance arose after the singer was involved in an unnamed incident: “This album has been over five years in the making. It was born from an experience that I experienced many years ago where I did not feel welcome… and clearly I did not. However, through that experience, I learned more deeply about the history of Country music and Study our rich music archive.
It’s gratifying to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of those who have dedicated so much of their lives to educating about our musical history.”
Beyoncé reveals a surprise in her new album
In the post, the singer excited fans by revealing that there are some surprises in store for the album, including a few collaborations: “I have a few surprises on the album and have already collaborated with some amazing artists that I deeply respect. I hope that you can hear my heart and soul, and all the love and passion that I have poured into every detail and every sound.
I focus on this album as a sequel to RENAISSANCE…I hope this music is an experience, creating another journey where you can close your eyes, start from the beginning and never stop again”.
At the end of the post, Beyoncé declared: “This is not a country album. This is the ‘Beyoncé’ album. This is act ii COWBOY CARTER and I’m proud to share it with you!”.
