Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks are country music royalty. There’s no denying that, but there’s also no denying that they are not resting on their laurels.
Parton, 78, and Brooks, 62, have been plenty busy of late.
Parton released her “Rockstar” album in November, and has also recently released a cookbook and even a cast iron collection through Lodge. Brooks, meanwhile, recently opened his Friends in Low Places Bar and Honky Tonk, and also has a reality show on Amazon based around that.
The two are still going strong and building.
So, it should be no surprise that the two are among the richest performers in the country music world. But where do they rank?
Well, LEDGERNOTE keeps an updated ranking of the top 10 richest country music singers, and the following is a look at that list heading into 2024.
Check it out below:
10. Carrie Underwood
Buzz: Football fans can close their eyes and hear Underwood signing the opener for “Sunday Night Football,” but she has had a ton of success outside of that song. Eight Grammy awards. 70 million albums sold. A whole lot of cash money.
Net Worth: $140 million
9. Alan Jackson
Buzz: Want some good, old-school country? Jackson is your man. He has slowed down some because of health issues, but the 65-year-old has plenty of cash to show for his work.
Net Worth: $160 million
8. Luke Bryan
Buzz: As LEDGERNOTE points out, Bryan has had gigs outside of singing, such as hosting “American Idol.” Pair that with more than 80 million albums sold, and it’s no shock to see him in the top 10.
Net Worth: $165 million
7. Kenny Chesney
Buzz: Hard to believe it, but LEDGERNOTE points out that Chesney has dropped a whopping 20 studio albums. They’ve done well, too. Just check the bank account.
Net Worth: $180 million
6 (tie). Faith Hill
Buzz: LEDGERNOTE did something interesting here, combining Hill with her husband, Tim McGraw, to come up with the number. She has certainly earned her fair share of dough, starting out in her career at 16.
Net Worth: $200 million
6 (tie). TIm McGraw
Buzz: Again, this is combined with his wife, Faith Hill. That said, McGraw has had his share of hits, and fared well in some acting gigs, too. So, no surprise to see him or Hill or, in this case, both on the list.
Net Worth: $200 million
5. George Strait
Buzz: Strait was selling albums back when selling albums was big-time business, obviously. Thirteen multi-platinum records, 33 platinum, 38 gold. Whole lot of cold hard cash.
Net Worth: $300 million
4. Toby Keith
Buzz: Keith entered 2024 fourth in the website’s rankings. Aside from his music, he had a number of business ventures, including Wild Shot mezcal liquor.
Net Worth: $370 million
3. Shania Twain
Buzz: Twain might surprise some folks, but she has been doing it since the 90s in a big way. LEDGERNOTE points out too that, aside from her musical success, she has had a gig as a judge on “American Idol,” had successful endorsements, perfume and even a book that has done well.
Net Worth: $410 million
2. Garth Brooks
Buzz: This was the big question heading into the rankings. How would Brooks fare? Well, LEDGERNOTE said his value improved by $30 million. The site says he is the best-selling solo artist in the United States with 148 million albums sold. He had an Amazon Special late last year playing from that new bar in Tennessee. He has a new album, “Time Traveler” out. He has a new deal with TuneIn Radio to carry “The Garth Channel.” He just wrapped up a sold out in Las Vegas and has 18 more dates set for Caesars Palace in 2024. That probably answers the question heading into this year’s list.
Net Worth: $430 million
1. Dolly Parton
Buzz: Did you see Dolly rock the Dallas Cowboys-Washington Commanders halftime show back on Thanksgiving? The woman is still a force at 77-years-old and, aside from music, she has had a whole slew of business ventures that have paid her well.
Net Worth: $675 million
