Jelly Roll has been in plenty of headlines of late and that is because well … the guy is one fire right now.

He’s one the hottest stars in country music, which is kind of wild considering he got his start in the rap game. These are good times for the big fella, which has apparently caused him to take a step back and put some things in perspective.

Including those tattoos — several of which are prominently inked on his face — and what he might have done better there.

“I regret 98 percent of these tattoos, 97 percent,” he reportedly said in an interview with GQ. “Almost all of them. Like core philosophies I rooted my life in when I was 17 and now that I’m 40, I’m like, what the (expletive) was I thinking?”

Among the tattoos he isn’t happy with is one of a baby smoking a blunt.

He said he got his first tattoo when he was 14 — a cross on his arm to honor a woman from his neighborhood who died of aids. And, hey, even one of the face tattoos is among his favorite.

Which one is that?

Well, he reportedly said it is the big cross on his cheek.

“I was symbolic of a change for me, symbolic of a new beginning,” he said. “Understanding that I need to bear my own cross.”
