The lovebirds and Voice Coaches nailed the live performance of their new song, “Purple Irises”.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were so happy while performing their new song together.
During Shelton’s Back to the Honky Tonk Tour, Stefani appeared onstage for a performance of their duet ”Purple Irises.” There, she stunned in a denim getup and white boots. She even did a little dance for Shelton while he strummed on his guitar and sang a particularly romantic and special lyric from the track which pointed to the year they met on The Voice: “It’s not 2014 / But you still look good in those jeans.”

What to know about ”Purple Irises” by Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani
”Purple Irises” was released on February 9, shortly after Stefani teased the project by posting artsy polaroid photos of herself and Shelton next to some purple irises.
The day the song was released, Stefani posted the photoshoot of them creating the cover art for the song, where she rocked a jean jumpsuit.
”Creating this song was magic + we hope u love it as much as we do :)” Stefani captioned the post.
The lyric video to the song will also make you swoon, as we get to see Stefani and Shelton showing each other purple iris flowers as a symbol of their love. How sweet!
Stefani appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Valentine’s Day, where she revealed that it was Shelton’s idea to make the song a duet, featuring his vocals.
”Blake and I have done a few [duets] together. And I’ve popped on a couple of his songs. When he’s asked me to do that, I’m like crying. [I’d do] anything with him,” she said.

She added, ”I’m so excited about the song, and I played it for Blake. And he loved it.”
On the show, the two then did an ultra romantic performance of the tune.
One of their first live performance of the song was on February 11 at the TikTok Tailgate party before the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl game. There, the two could not look any more in love while singing together onstage. Stefani then shared a backstage moment where her, Shelton, and the crew all chanted ”Purple Irises” together.
”Ahhh #TikTokTailgate what an incredible experience !!! i had such a fun time singing and dancing with u ✨ and performing Purple Irises for the first time with @blakeshelton 🎉🪻 WHAAT !! thank u @nfl + @tiktok 🙂 now lets play some football 🏈 gx,” Stefani wrote on the Instagram post.
