While the respect is real between LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neal, the relationship between the two men may be turning a corner. It must be said that the King didn’t really appreciate the Big Cactus’ remark the other day.

39 years old or not, we know that we will have to count on LeBron James in the weeks to come, especially given the stakes. The Lakers will not escape the play-in, however, we will clearly have to be wary of Darvin Ham’s men, especially if Anthony Davis is in good shape. And with the King around, facing the Angelinos in a potential double-header won’t be a gift.

But Shaquille O’Neal isn’t necessarily worried about opponents. In a recent podcast, he did not hesitate to tackle the Akron native, who according to him has never been scary during his career and unlike Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant. Quite a strange speech considering how James dominated the Eastern Conference for so long.

LeBron responds indirectly to Shaq!

The Raptors have often suffered the law of LeBron, to the point where DeMar DeRozan, or even Paul George, confirmed that they did not want to meet the King during the playoffs at the time. This sentence from Shaq may therefore be surprising, and it seems that the person concerned has heard of it. This is what he shared in his Instagram story this Monday evening…

LeBron James: 1210 games in a row with more than 10 points. Shaquille O’Neal: 1,207 career games played.

LeBron : “Why is this so funny to me!! »

Knowing that the statistic is not really flattering for O’Neal, it is anything but a coincidence that James decides to take it back publicly. A little reminder that LeBron’s career is already way superior and that, yes, a lot of people were afraid of him during his domination in the East…

It looks like LeBron James didn’t like Shaquille O’Neal’s latest statement, and that can be understood when we see how ridiculous it was. But be careful, because the Big Cactus risks responding to him in turn…
