GENERAL Hospital’s Dex actor Evan Hofer has broken his silence on theories over whether he’s Jason’s son.

Soap Opera Digest spoke with Evan about his character Dex and his “uncertain future” in a recent interview.

But there was one question that has long been on the topic of several General Hospital fans’ lips as of late.

With that in mind, he publication asked whether Evan had seen fans speculating over whether Jagger, or John, could be Dex’s father.

Evan, 26, said that he had, but he had also been “seeing stuff” about fans thinking he could be character Jason’s son as well.

“Well, whose son do you want Dex to be, Evan?” Soap Opera Digest asked.

“Oh, gosh, everybody’s! I’ve met John in passing, and he’s very kind, and I haven’t had any scenes with Steve, but I have hugged him at work,” he said of actors Adam Harrington, who plays John, and Steve Burton, who plays Jason.

“There are too many historical intricacies that I don’t understand to say, but I just know whatever the writers decide in whatever cool way sounds good to me,” he added.

It appears that Evan is just as in the dark as this potential theory as most of the fans who have put the idea into being.

It seems as murky as whether Dex is going to remain on the show going forward or not at this time.

WHERE’S DEX?

Previously, fans were shocked when Dex left town at the end of last Friday’s episode.

Though fans were happy he was still alive after fearing for his safety all week, they admitted watching him leave his love, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), behind was heartbreaking.

After days of wondering whether or not Sonny would kill Dex for seemingly betraying him, Friday’s episode of General Hospital ended with the mobster demanding Dex leave town.

He said if he wasn’t going to do it for himself, he had to do it for Josslyn’s sake, to help keep her safe.

In the end, Dex decided to leave, and Sonny broke the news to his furious step-daughter, Joss.

“Where is he, what did you do to him,” she demanded to know after finally finding Sonny but not seeing Dex with him.

“Dex is alive, but he’s not coming back to Port Charles,” Sonny told her.

She accused him of lying and insisted Dex would never leave her.

“Dex did what he had to do,” Sonny said. “What was best for everyone.”

Joss broke down in tears and cried out, “Not for me.”

“I hate you,” Josslyn, crying harder, told her step-dad. “You’re a criminal and a liar and I will never forgive you for this.”

A HARD GOODBYE

Dex’s girlfriend wasn’t the only one breaking down over the news as fans admitted their own sadness on social media.

“My heart was sinking the whole time,” one fan shared on X (formerly Twitter).

“Dex out the show too,” a second fan asked, wondering if Dex is gone from GH for good.

“I’m legit so hateful to Sonny right now,” a third angry fan wrote. “I will NEVER believe that Dex left PC like that.”

“I will never believe that Dex left Joss like that,” the user added. “He legit just told him he’d rather die without her.”

Fans had been speculating for days that Dex would either be killed or need to leave town.

On Tuesday, Sonny learned Dex was lying to him and threatened to shoot him if he didn’t tell him everything.

Dex refused to spill, and Sonny seemed just about to shoot him when the episode ended.

The following day, fans found out Carly learned what Sonny was going to do and made it there in time to tell Sonny that Dex wasn’t the traitor he thought him to be.
