Alison Hammond put on a glamorous display as she hosted This Morning alongside Dermot O’Leary on Tuesday.

The presenter, 49, debuted a sleek new hairstyle, complete with blonde highlights for her TV appearance rather than her usual short dark do.

Wearing bright colours to mark the start of Spring, Alison opted for a neon blouse with a smart blue jacket.

She teamed it with a pair of fitted jeans and nude, pointed toe shoes, accessorising with statement earrings.

Finally, she completed her outfit with her signature glowing makeup look with a glossy lipstick.

On Monday, This Morning fans slammed Alison’s ‘dreadful’ acting skills after Dermot played an April Fool’s prank on her.

During the episode, Alison introduced a guest who claimed to have found out a vase she’s bought for just £1.50 was found to be worth £30,000 on Antiques Roadshow.

Guest Joanne appeared on the show with her vase, which she said she came across at a car-boot sale. The vase was precariously positioned atop a thin pedestal.

Dermot, 51, and Alison then interviewed an antiques expert about why the vase was worth so much, at which point he said it was one of just two in the whole world. ‘This has set the art world on fire,’ the expert claimed.

However moments later, Dermot knocked the thin pedestal over – sending the vase crashing to the ground and smashing into pieces.

Alison let out a shriek and Joanne cupped her face in her hands, looking completely distraught.

‘Oh my god,’ Alison said as she walked over to a very-distressed Joanne. ‘Are you actually joking?’

Appearing stunned over what he had done, Dermot said: ‘No I’m so sorry I’ll pay for it. I’ve only got one thing to say…’

He then trailed off before yelling ‘April Fools!’ and pointing at Alison, as the TV Screens lit up with the words sprawled everywhere. ‘Welcome back Alison,’ Dermot said.

Alison’s jaw dropped as she realised both Dermot and Joanne had been involved and that she had been the subject of the prank. ‘That is so not funny,’ she said.

‘All weekend I’ve been going well if I turn around like that,’ Dermot said, before pointing to Joanne and saying: ‘You are sensational by the way.’

Alison said: ‘Do you know what I actually felt sick. I was going to start crying. I didn’t know what to even say. That’s so not funny. Is this not real?’

‘No she’s an actress,’ Dermot said, pointing to Joanne, before confirming that her real name was in fact Vanessa.

‘I’m Vanessa and I’m going to take a bit as a souvenir,’ Vanessa joked, picking up a piece of the vase. ‘It’s very valuable.’

But viewers of the show were not convinced by Alison’s reaction at being pranked and claimed she had known it was going to happen.
