A few hours ago, NBC Sports reporters Kerith Burke and Zena Keita appeared on the latest segment of ‘Dubs Talks Live’. During the same, they discussed the recent win that the Golden State Warriors pulled off against the San Antonio Spurs, placing special emphasis on Draymond Green’s role in the same. Kerith Burke was especially impressed at how the 34-year-old ended up changing the tide of the game during the 3 quarter, while Zena Keita highlighted that the player hasn’t performed this magnificently since December 2021. While there has seldom been any doubt about the player’s defensive capabilities, the stunning thing during this game was that Green also managed to help Stephen Curry lead the offensive front as well.

“This is what Draymond does, he can score for you and he also showed the diversity in his scoring,” said Keita. “Hey, old man looked like he was drinking from the Fountain of Youth ’cause he was up there, battling with those youngsters”.

Draymond Green has not been having the best week. He was ejected during the first four minutes of his game against the Orlando Magic and he was only able to score 8 points when facing off against the Charlotte Hornets. However, through his recent performance, the power forward seems to have gone on a redemption arc. During his 32 minutes on the court, the player added 23 points, 6 rebounds and an astonishing 11 assists to his name. Green pulled off this impressive feat against a roster in which 4 of the 5 top scoring players are below the age of 25. His shooting ability also saw quite a surge during the matchup as he shot 2-2 three pointers and 3-4 field throws. Thanks to the effort put forward by him and Stephen Curry, the Warriors managed to pull off a close win through a score of 117-113.

The Warriors are currently placed as the 10 seed on the Western Conference points chart, and each win will go a long way in helping them secure a spot in the playoffs. Therefore, if Warriors fans were upset with how the player carried himself earlier, this recent win would have definetly turned their frowns upside down.

Draymond Green drops hints of an official retirement during the post-game presser

Draymond Green has devoted over 12 years to the NBA and the Golden State Warriors. Despite this, the 34-year-old continues to perform at the same level as he did during his earlier days. As seen during his recent game and as highlighted by Kerith Burke and Zena Keita, the “old man” still has much to contribute to his team and the game of basketball. However, the player himself may not be possessing the same thought.

During the post-game press conference, Green discussed what went down when facing the Spurs. As he praised Victor Wembanyama for his performance, the player subtly hinted at what the future may hold in store for him. “I was just telling Trayce and those guys like I’m happy to had the opportunity to play against him now, cause they’ll have to deal with him a lot later and I won’t be in the league no more, so that’s good for me”.
