BREAKING: Baker Mayfield Signs Massive $100 Million Contract Ahead Of 2024 NFL Free Agency

Baker Mayfield is going right back to the very place where he belongs.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the 28-year-old Mayfield has signed a lucrative three-year contract extension with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers worth $100 million. Half of the money is guaranteed, Rapoport added.

Mayfield’s extension comes days after the Bucs locked up superstar wideout Mike Evans on a two-year deal worth $52 million.

With that, the reigning NFC South champs are ready to run it back after a surprising nine-win season that culminated in a trip to the Divisional Round.he No. 1 selection of the 2018 NFL Draft is coming off a career year in which he completed 64.3 percent of pass attempts for 4,044 yards and 28 touchdowns against 10 interceptions.

Baker Mayfield to sign $100 million deal with Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield had a career year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2023. After signing a one-year deal with Tampa Bay last offseason, Mayfield beat out former Florida quarterback Kyle Trask to earn the starting job in training camp.

In a season in which Mayfield helped the Bucs get to the divisional round of the playoffs, the former No. 1 overall pick threw for 4,044 yards, 28 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

For his efforts, Mayfield and the Buccaneers are closing in on a new deal that will keep the former Sooner in Tampa Bay for the next three seasons.

According to Ian Rapaport of NFL Network, the two sides have agreed to a three-year $100 million deal that will pay Mayfield $50 million guaranteed and an average annual value of $33.3 million per year.

It’s a big move that gives the Buccaneers their answer at quarterback for the next several years and will give Mayfield an opportunity to cash in big with several more years in his prime.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Mayfield’s deal can pay him upwards of $115 million if he reaches certain incentives.
