Metallica Shares Intense New Song and Video for “Screaming Suicide”

Tim Saccenti directed the music video, which shows the band playing the song in the rain and snow while dressed in black and white.

The song itself talks about suicide and how it’s not acceptable anywhere. The goal is to talk about the inner darkness we all experience.

The idea that we should suppress these ideas is absurd. I think the majority of people have given it some consideration at some time.

Facing it means expressing what is unsaid. If it’s a common human experience, we need to be allowed to discuss it. James Hetfield, the lead man of Metallica, declares, “You are not alone.”
