VIDEO: Footage From 1941 Suggests San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy Could Be A Time Traveler & NFL Fans Are Losing It
Brock Purdy has shown up a few places since he went from Mr. Irrelevant to a starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers.
It’s surprising the number of people who look like Brock Purdy, and we’re leaning toward the theory that he might be a time traveler, with a video having popped up online showing him taking part in a bodybuilding competition in 1941.
Check it out right below:
Of course, it’s not him, but the resemblance is uncanny. And for those wondering why color motion picture was already a thing in 1941, it’s been around since the mid-1930s, though it didn’t become the standard until the 1950s.

Brock Purdy Is Nearing A Massive Payday
The supposedly ubiquitous Brock Purdy is headed toward a significant payday following his exploits under center for the Niners.
The QB is entering the final year of his rookie contract, one that will earn him a modest $985,000, but he’s earned himself a huge payday after firing the team to the Super Bowl last season, and CEO Jed York expects him to command an unprecedented sum.
“It’s a good problem when your quarterback is one of the highest-paid guys on your team and in the league,” York said, per The Mercury News earlier this week. “It’s what the market is. Brock is going to ask for something that no one has ever asked for before. I don’t know how many players are making over $40 million [a season] as a quarterback right now.”
Purdy passed for 4,280 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 2023, completing 69.4 percent of his attempts.
There are plenty of NFL quarterbacks earning a lot more than the Niners star who have never been to a Super Bowl. It will be interesting to see the number he asks for when the time comes.
