Taylor Swift’s pride as a cat owner knows no bounds.
Her feline companions, Olivia Benson and Meredith Grey, named after iconic TV characters, stole the spotlight in Ryan Reynolds’ blockbuster, Deadpool 2.
Reynolds’ character donned a white T-shirt featuring Swift’s beloved cats, with the words “Olivia and Meredith Best Friends Purrrrr-Ever” emblazoned across it. Swift, close friends with Reynolds and Blake Lively, couldn’t contain her joy as she took to Instagram to celebrate her pets’ silver screen debut. “I’m so proud of my fuzzy daughters,” she gushed alongside a snapshot of their cameo, giving a nod to Reynolds with a heartfelt thanks.
In a star-studded turn of events, Brad Pitt made a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in the film. Director David Leitch, reflecting on the surreal moment, shared with ET’s Carly Steel his admiration for Pitt, whom he considers a mentor and friend.
Reynolds shed light on how they managed to rope in Pitt for the small role, emphasizing the simplicity of the approach: “The power of just asking. Just ask, you never know!”
Meanwhile, Reynolds humorously touched on his daughter James’ involvement in Taylor Swift’s song, “Gorgeous,” quipping about her newfound ego after the mention. “My daughter has a really, really terrible ego problem now after that song,” he joked on Good Morning America, adding a playful note to the family dynamic.
And if you’re still craving surprises, don’t miss out on Swift’s recent performance, where another unexpected cameo stole the show.
