Jennifer Lawrence admits to being a very stressed-out bride.

While walking the red carpet at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards, the actress, 33, opened up about her 2019 wedding to husband Cooke Maroney, and how she spent much of her special day worried about her guests instead of enjoying the moment.

Lawrence joked to E! News that she found parts of the experience “awful” and “so stressful” as she tried to make sure she was being a good host.

“You’re not having fun. You’re just like, ‘Is that person having fun?’ ” she explained.

The No Hard Feelings star recalled worrying that her guests were cold at her wedding, which took place at the historic Belcourt of Newport mansion in Newport, Rhode Island.

“I’ll never forget — I was freaking out about the guests being cold, and all of my friends were lying.

They’re like, ‘Nobody’s cold, nobody’s cold, everything’s fine, everything’s fine,’ ” she told E! News.

Making matters worse, Lawrence’s mother affirmed her fears.

“My mom was like, ‘It’s freezing out there. Your grandmother almost died,’ ” she revealed.

“I looked over and I saw Bob, who doesn’t know anybody and he’s kind of wandering around, and I immediately was like, ‘No, this isn’t what he wants to be doing.

I don’t want him here,'” she explained. “So I went over and whispered, I was like, ‘Go home,’ and he was nice — he like talked to my parents and was polite — but I was like, ‘Go.’ “

“That just genuinely made me feel better,” she added of the Hollywood legend’s exit.

While she may have been anxious on her big day, Lawrence partied with her wedding guests late into the night.

A source told PEOPLE at the time of the nuptials that the Hunger Games star and Maroney were “the last people to leave at 5:30 a.m.”

“It was an all-night party,” the source said. “They waited until all the guests were gone so they could personally say goodbye. When they left, Jen looked happy.”

Last year, Lawrence recalled also feeling a bit overwhelmed when her husband proposed to her.

“[It was] terrifying, but very, very exciting,” she said on Amelia Dimoldenberg’s YouTube series Chicken Shop Date.

“I didn’t say what I wanted to,” she continued. “I imagined it a million times, and then I ended up just going, ‘What? What? What?’ And then going, ‘Thank you, thank you, thank you.’ “

The couple, who celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in October, have since welcomed a son, born in April 2022.
