Sylvester Stallone has aged fine like wine over the years. But there are still people who have taunted him about acting his age and growing up. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he was asked about whether or not he feels his age. To which, The  Rocky actor replied that he feels “immature”.

He thinks that as one grows older, one tries to embrace the inner kid they have. The only thing that makes him feel his age is the injuries that he treated with fusions and operations.

“I’ve always been averse to the quote “Act your age.” Or “Age gracefully.” How do you age gracefully? There’s nothing graceful about you.

The older I get, the more I try to embrace my inner kid. The only way I really feel my age is because I’ve had so many injuries.

I’ve had five back operations, three neck fusions, both shoulders done, knees, ankles, fist — you name it. It’s been more than 25 times that I’ve been put out. So that I feel. But after I warm up, I feel really good. I don’t run out of gas.”

In the interview, the  Creed actor mentioned the tremendous amount of change that came into his life over the years. He added that when people ask him what’s the formula to his success, he simply replies, “You just keep doing what you do naturally, and sometimes you arrive at a place you never expected to be.”

It’s undeniable, that Stallone never gave up on his American dream, and that’s why now he’s one of the most popular celebrities in the industry.

As there is a saying, that inspiration is everywhere. For Stallone, it came from watching legendary boxers like Muhammad Ali fighting against Chuck Wepner in the squared ring in 1975.

He got inspired by the fight and soon brought it to paper in just three days. He made  Rocky film on a very low budget, but his film didn’t disappoint. It became famous worldwide and he received immense love from the audience.
