Over the last several years, the NFL’s roster of full-time women coaches has expanded, now standing at 12.
All 12 are currently in Indianapolis for the annual scouting combine and the league’s yearly Women’s Forum, which is taking place today.
The NFL shared a picture of the entire group on its official X/Twitter account this afternoon.
“All 12 full time women coaches in the NFL in the same room at the Women’s Forum. History,” the league wrote in the caption.
The annual NFL Women’s Forum, which is where this picture was taken, is in its eighth year and is part of the league’s attempt to expand its pool of candidates for future roles.
“Women are vastly underrepresented in operations positions in sports. NFL clubs understand the value of considering the entire talent pool during the hiring process,” said Sam Rapoport, the league’s senior director of diversity and inclusion.
“This program provides the opportunity for teams to meet with driven and experienced women, with a focus on women of color, who have a strong desire to work in football and we’re proud of the progress we’ve seen in four years.”
The two-day event includes presentations, networking, panel discussions and breakout sessions. Participants are able to “interact with Owners, General Managers, Head Coaches and club executives in the NFL and in college football programs.”
