The Denver Broncos are in the midst of making some huge changes this offseason and one of them has to do with the uniforms that they currently wear.
After a process that lasted more than a year, team president Damani Leech announced Monday morning that the Denver Broncos have a “full redesign of the uniform,” set for unveiling in the coming weeks.
“Same colors and same logo, but a full redesign,” Leech said here during the NFL’s spring meetings, via 9News.com.
The team posted on X on Monday a short video with the caption “New threads.”
The below video showed the mane of the Denver Broncos logo being stitched onto an orange background.
The Denver Broncos started working with the National Football League in January 2023 on the official process, which involved a trip to Nike, a survey that garnered more than 10,000 responses from fans.
Aside from the video, there has been very little information released on the design of the uniforms. Many fans jumped in the comments to pray and hope that the new threads resemble the “Orange Crush” uniforms from the 1980s.
DraftKings even responded to the tweet with, “Just bring these back” and a photo of John Elway in his orange uniform and blue helmet with the “D” logo.
This is hardly the first time the Denver Broncos have redesigned their uniforms in recent years as just last year, the team deputed the “Snowcapped” design that had the helmet featuring the iconic “D” logo.
They also released a color rush jersey in 2016. The Broncos uniforms haven’t undergone any major changes since 1997 when they unveiled their current look.
The Denver Broncos Looking To Rebound From An Up And Down 2023 Season
The Denver Broncos truly had an up-and-down 2023 season.
An 8-9 finish and being in the playoff mix is something that could be an encouraging sign for 2024, but the team had many of their wins due to the improved play of quarterback Russell Wilson.
He has since been released and signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Right now, the team has high hopes for Jarrett Stidham being the starter unless they go out and sign another guy.
