The police report regarding the alleged Rashee Rice and photographer punching incident at a Dallas nightclub has been released.

As previously noted, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is being investigated over allegations that he punched a photographer at the Lit Kitchen and Lounge in Dallas, Texas on Monday night.

FOX 4 in Dallas obtained the police report of the alleged incident. According to their report, the photographer informed them that he believed Rice wanted him to take photos.

The photographer claims to have left the nightclub before Rice asked him to return. The man alleges that Rice asked the man to look at his (Rice’s) cellphone. Once the complainant did that, Rice punched him in the face:

“When he arrived at the club, Rice allegedly told the victim to look at his phone. When he did, Rice punched him on the left side of his face, according to the report.

Rice’s name is redacted in the report released to the media. Dallas police say it is not their practice to release or confirm a suspect’s identity during an investigation. The suspect’s age, height and weight match that of the Chiefs’ wide receiver. The case is classified as a misdemeanor assault.”

Rice is currently facing eight charges for his involvement in a six-car accident in Dallas that happened on Mar. 30. The accident left four people injured, and two were hospitalized for treatment of their injuries.

Police allege that Rice was driving at 119 MPH in a Lamborghini before the accident, and video footage showed him fleeing the scene. The 24-year-old wideout turned himself in to police on Apr. 11.

In his rookie year, the SMU product caught 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns.

Rashee Rice Faces Uncertain Future With Chiefs

Just three months ago, Rashee Rice was an ascending superstar who helped the Chiefs to a Super Bowl 58 championship. The 2023 second-round pick was on top of the world and looked poised for NFL greatness.

But the SMU product suddenly faces an uncertain future in Kansas City amid his legal issues. The Chiefs’ signing of Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown and draft selection of Xavier Worthy strongly indicate that they’re planning, at the very least, a short-term future without Rice.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters last month that he was simply letting the authorities handle the matter. But depending on how the legal process goes, the Chiefs may ultimately decide to cut Rice.
