Texas Longhorns defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat is certainly a man on a mission to improve his stock for the 2024 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-4, 366-pound lineman has been a major talking point across the scouting world today after running an impressive 40-yard dash time of 5.27 during the NFL Scouting Combine on Thursday.
Sweat broke the internet by running a time that is awfully impressive for a player of his size:
If you want a comparison, Tampa Bay Buccaneers star defensive tackle Vita Vea (6-foot-4, 347 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash time of 5.10 seconds back in 2017. And Kansas City Chiefs all-world defensive tackle Chris Jones (6-foot-6, 310 pounds) had a 5.03 40-yard dash time back in 2016.
The fact that Sweat was only a little bit slower than those two says a lot, given that Sweat weighs 19 more pounds than Vea and 56 more pounds than Jones, respectively.
